چکیده
Food production is affected by climate change, and, in turn, food responsible for 20–30% of greenhouse gases. The system must increase output as the population increases and meet nutrition health needs while simultaneously assisting achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Good important combatting infection, reducing child mortality, controlling obesity chronic disease throughout life course. Dietary guidelines provide advice a healthy diet, main principles are now well established compatible with sustainable development. Climate change will have significant effect on supply; however, political commitment substantial investment, projected improvements be sufficient to diets needed achieve Some changes need made production, nutrient content monitoring, more equitable distribution required dietary guidelines. Climate friendly dietary guidelines
The aim of this study was to investigate how the present Danish diet could be changed in a climate friendly direction that follows the recommendations of a healthy diet. The carbon footprint (CF) of an average Danish diet was calculated and compared to CF of a recommended healthy diet by 1) modifying the average diet according to the Danish food based dietary guidelines, 2) and adjusting to ens...

Dynamic interactions between and within the biogeophysical and human environments lead to the production, processing, distribution, preparation and consumption of food, resulting in food systems that underpin food security. Food systems encompass food availability (production, distribution and exchange), food access (affordability, allocation and preference) and food utilization (nutritional an...

Food systems contribute 19%–29% of global anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, releasing 9,800–16,900 megatonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO2e) in 2008. Agricultural production, including indirect emissions associated with land-cover change, contributes 80%–86% of total food system emissions, with significant regional variation. The impacts of global climate change on food syste...

There are a range of government food policies at national and international level. Overall, their aims are diverse but all will have an impact on women and thus impact on the developmental origins of adult disease through their role as mothers of future generations. The present paper describes the approach of the Food Standards Agency to help consumers choose, cook and eat healthy safe food by ...

The availability of atmospheric carbon dioxide is the sine qua non for all plant growth and thence for all marine and terrestrial life forms. The purpose of this paper is to show that proposed reductions in anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) to below the level of observed annual incremental biospheric absorption of those emissions would reduce the growth of the basic feedstock of a...
